I've only run 17.5 1s with the car so far - hopefully a few others will chime in. in Vegas this year we "got away with" running jaco grey rears instead of the more traditional yellow or orange rears. out probably 12 runs of practice/qual/mains I only chinked one rear tires vs last year where I destroyed almost 1:2 of my rear tires.
front tire selection was dependant upon the driver, amount of glue in the sidewall and front spring setup in 17.5. dbl pink, lilac and black were popular.

check a few pages back or the rc excitement forum for the posted setup by Kenny, Joel, and timmah. the "farm team" hooked me up the weekend prior to Vegas and the only real setup changes when grip came up where:
- one level thicker tube spouge (lt -> med)
- slightly harder front tires (lilac -> black)
