Even though ur the second person to suggest a 21 its either gonna be the lrp 28 that's in it or the lrp 30. I'm mainly a basher but I plan to try racing at a local track which I think allows 28s and 30s. My boy put a LRP 30 in his savage and said it was sick. If I was keepin my LST2 I would love to throw a 30 in it. I'm also thinkin about getting a truggy so maybe ill throw a 30 in that. Who knows.
A good .21 will have alot more performance then the LRP 30....in the SC8 chassis they will have about the same torque, then in the midrange the .21 will take over and on top end the .21 will literally blow the doors off the LRP 30........ I have a LRP 30, it has decent torque, but doesn't have a very good RPM range, it is really just a MT engine, it works good in a heavy truck as it has the grunt to get things rolling, but in a single speed center diff application you really feel its lack of RPM.....
