Default Lesson learned the hard way

I now know why the CC manual for my sidewinder said to switch the motor cables rather than reversing throttle/brake on the Tx...

Ran out of range on a top speed run with my 4600kv on 11.1v... head on into a curb with no body at full throttle. Pretty much totalled my TC3 leaving just the shocks, diffs and most of the screws intact, but the worst was the damage to the electronics. The motor can was ripped right off of the cap, the screws just tore right through the metal, the rotor was bent and the bearings damaged as well. Rx shattered but still functions (super-glued back together). Servo completely destroyed. Lipo ripped out of the hard case and wires torn up. ESC is perfectly fine.

I didn't even think about it when I flipped the throttle reverse switch, but instead of applying the brakes when I went out of range it went full speed ahead

I guess 10 years off from this hobby have taken their toll.
