I normally run with front and rear tires equal diameter and the 23T front side pulley to create a lot of overdrive to pull the car around the twisty short tracks. Many people dont like this method but it suites me fine due to not using brakes at all. Once you start driving this way and learn to control the steering with the throttle the lap times will really fall.
I may have to pick up that overdrive gear set, sounds pretty good for my driving style, I never use brakes... hell, all I use are 1 ways now anymore, so I couldnt really use em if I wanted to.
