it's very hard to tune an engine over the forum, i take for granted what i know about tunning. i would try to find someone at your local track to help tune. your not over your head, just a stumbling block.
Is the engine salvagable or is it better to start again. For example, the conrod will be ~$40. If I have to replace any other pieces, it will probably be better to start again.
Thoughts?
