I had a racer tell me that the nut should be 4mm from the chassis. Don't ask me how to Measure that. I just go with feel after I put it togeather I should be able to actuate it by hand on te car but ultimately you will have to drive it to see of you like how it feels. If it's too loose then the car won't track straight or hold the line around the turns.
