Well, I have stripped the whole lot down and sanded the discs again and also roughed up the metal calipers as they looked very smooth. I also reset the screws as per Losi's recommendations, so I'll have to see from here I guess.

The fuel tubing on the actuators seems to be very hard though. I have had to adjust me EPA right down now, the servo hardly moves and I have some serious braking again.
