I just upgraded my T-Maxx remote from the stock remote to a new Spektrum. In the transition, I am going from 3-channel to 2-channel (losing reverse). That said, when I went to replace the reciever with the new one, the connections to the Optidrive obviously don't work because there is no reverse servo.

So, 2 questions:
1) Do I care about the OptiDrive module if I am removing the reverse capabilities? What do I do with the speed sensor on the trans since it isn't needed?
2) How do I "lock out" the reverse capabilities of the trans? Just remove the servo, or should I disassemble the trans and remove the reverse rail?
