I ran a booster with an 4.0 X12 last weekend. Seemed fine to me, but i had to turn the cutoff on the Tekin RS off.

The weekend earlier, with a 5.5, the first couple of runs i had the throttle stuttered about 2 minutes into the run then went away. With the Novak Smartboost the stutter is the boosters way of telling you that the LiPo is going low on voltage.

The team guys for Tekin seem to think with mod that you should run a receiver pack to get that extra mili whatever of power. But in oz we race on low grip asphalt and frankly im a pretty poor driver and dont want to be bothered charging up receiver packs. The 4.0 timing was fully retarded and current limiting was set on the tekin (although the team drivers were also running current limiting on their mod setups).

Pretty happy with the novak smart boost, although i hate how they have the wiring in that twisted shape.
