Not sure about the .25 but I would think it would work just the same as the .21's.
Standard long needle is 1.6" long. Shorten it down to 1.42" and round off to a bull nose end, as opposed to the thin taper of the long needle.
Short needle will be easier to tune if you are used to tuning other engines like OS etc. I have run both, and IMO the long needle gives a smoother power band, and slightly better economy. Just a little tricky to get right until you get the hang of it.
