Guys, thanks for all the input about the Reflex12....and the lesson of CG, I am no expert on any of those engineering issue, I can only see it from the car on the track............like my friend, 12th scale is not new to him, and with his SB12 (which is still a very traditional 12th scale design compare to those old school RC12, TRC Pro 12 or Delta back 12-14 years ago...), he can TQ and win races with a very standard setting......
But with this Reflex12, he did insert whatever knowledge from his 15-20 years of 12 scale experience, and the car just cannot handle it correctly, seems like to me, we are converting from using Window 3.1 to Window XP Professional.............the old rules does not apply.
And for me, if the expert cannot drive the car as good as the old one...........how can I be any different from them? One very good example.....2-3 years ago Serpent released the Serpent 1/8th Veteq, for those who race 1/8th scale on-road, they should remembered the Veteq is a "over-engineered" RC nitro car....the word "Over-engineering" is the cause of the discontinued of that Veteq model in about 1.5 year......
But overall, I do like the Low CG design of the Reflex....does not know there is any real advantage of that design yet, but "all show and no go" is what I believe.....esp in RC.
