that's not really correct.

if you gear brushless taller they pull more current and thus make more power.

adding to that the torque lowers when RPM goes up, and the taller gearing will thus make the car run faster for a given RPM.

Thus with Brushless you usally get more spin with taller gearing, not lower.

this also explains the wheelies the stockers can pull, gear them low and they are done doing that.
