Just got back from the 2009 Vintage Off Road Nationals hosted by my local track RCHR in CT. All vehicles had to be produced in or before 1994 and run a 27t motor or a 17.5 brushless.
Express drivers had a good showing at the event. Ther were 71 entries in total. Racers from all over the country were in attendance. 3 of the local Express drivers were able to attend the race.
Here is how we finished....
Joe Glorioso: 2nd place 4wd buggy A Main, started 2nd with a Yokomo YZ10
5th place 2wd buggy A Main, started 4th with a Losi JRX2
Nicky Glorioso (Joe's 10 y/o son): 3rd place A Main Classic, started 3rd with a Tamiya Falcon
2nd place C Main 2wd buggy, started 1st with a Losi JRX2
Ron DePoto: 1st place Stadium Truck B Main, started 1st with an Associated RC10T (missed the A main by less than .08 sec!!!!)
Also won Best Paint in the concorse comp. Pic is attatched.
We ran Express 17.5 Duo's in all our cars. They were fast all day long!!!!
