From what I have experienced so far it tunes very much like the Gen 5 long needle carb. Get the HSN set right then fine tune for conditions using the LSN. The new HSN needle is a little more sensitive to adjustment than on the older carb. Just a little tweak will make quite a difference.
In general I would say the 66 tunes easier than my other GO's. From straight out of the box it has run beautifully. It holds it's tune and idles like a dream.
Matt - I have experimented with both long and short low speed needles on my motors now. I have come to the conclusion that the short needle is a little easier to tune, but the long needle once you get the hang of how it works, provides slightly better performance (smoother) and slightly better economy. Would you agree ?
