I won the 1990 US Nationals 1/8 Pan class with a Associated RC300BD slightly modified. You would be better off re-using the old wheels and putting new rubber on them. Also unless the bite is just fantastic on you track, you need a relatively soft tire, maybe a 30 or even 25 shore. The front caster needs to be set at around 7 to 10 deg. for medium to high traction tracks. The front tires need to be a hard compound, 40 0r 45 shore. Check the Ball diff, It has to have a very smooth action. Set the diff relatively loose for low traction, tighter as the traction improves. Lots of rear wing is needed compared to the cars we are running today. Thats about it, These two-wheel drive dino's actually handle pretty good if set-up properly.
