Plastic is not very skid resistant
still scratches up
and you wouldn't get much airflow to cool the motor
and ESC with it tight, its not really hard to clean
your electronics not to mention the coating that
today's electronics have, which protect it from
water and dirt as long as you let it dry out on its
own before turning it back on (can cause short)
If you really wanted to keep your electronics clean
you'd cut a Ziploc bag and wrap it around the electronics
adheare the electronic to the chassis and put electrical
3M tape on exposed wires putting a small amount of
silicon over the tape to ensure the tape stays in place.
