I've owned both and currently drive the 008. I loved the Phi and hated to sell it, but it was a business deal. With the new Phi on the way, I wanted to sell it before the threads got loaded with them. I still miss it. It was a great car and handled very well running rubber on carpet. I picked the 008 up in a great deal and decided to use it as an interim car. It handles so well that I'm going to stick with it for now. Not better than the Phi, just different. I did buy the aluminum knuckles for the Phi and never broke anything more than 1 a-arm. Rubber tires aren't as abusive as foams though. I had a 008 before and broke knuckles and c-hubs every other run. I haven't broken anything on this one. I guess it' just luck of the draw. Either way you go, you're getting a great car. Hope that helps.
