Steve Weiss explained that both the earlier Novak motors--the Velocitis and SS Pros--and the new Ballistic motors were factory set to 30 degrees timing.
The above is a HobbyTalk quote from NovakTwo, a Novak employee. This explains why some of our local racers have been frying Novaks with Tekin RSs since we thought that they came from the factory at 12-15 degrees of timing.

Taking that into consideration you should run around 10 - 15 timing boost max.
lower timing 0 - 5 will have more punch and accelleration.
Would think that on the turbo you would have to be conservative as well and not run max .
