i was the same. then after a while i just knew i had drive steady to become consistant. i don't think you need the best of the best equipment you just need to drive within your abilities, then you will get faster.

i had a revo that i used to run against truggies. i won a few races because i didn't try to overdrive the car i just ran the same lap after lap.

i now come 2nd last not last...lol
