Most of the wear and stress is placed on a rod during
the break-in period. Try running any engine, on the pipe,
wide open, tank after tank, on a huge dirt oval. We can
stretch a rod out in a good weekends running, I don't
care who made the engine. I've talked to a few local
on-road racers who were having trouble with the rods
in there Novarossi engines. None of the engines had ever
seen a heat gun during there,long, six tank break-ins.
Ha!Ha! Wonder why?
