Yeah, speed passion motors seem to work better with heavier ratios. I tried 6.2, which was very slow even with max turbo. But turning up timing boost and turbo to max gives back the speed but I'm not comfy with such high revving.
bukil, I started off with timing boost 10. Good initial take off but when combined with max turbo it wasnt fast. I noticed that turbo slowly adds up to 10 degrees of timing on the straigths. I could go with 10 boost but had to gear with a lower fdr, even lower than the same motor with speedpassion gt 2.0 esc to get the same top speed.
Randy, i'm on 200 and sanwa/airtronics MX3 FG. I can try recalibrating but I doubt this is the issue. Whenever I lose turbo, the esc shows 3 leds temps. I waited till it went down to 2 leds and turbo was on again. All without turning off the car or radio.
