On my XRay T2 08/09 I had been running the RS right next to the motor, laying flat with the gold posts facing towards the inside of the car. I've been running 13.5t motors mostly -- and haven't had any known overheating problems yet. I'm just trying to get this placed as ideal as possible.

This weekend I swapped the location of my ESC and receiver (futaba) but didn't notice any temp change really. Would spinning the RS 180 degrees so the posts are towards the outside of the chassis help?
