I agree. 2.4Ghz is great because it is virtually interference free, in general it has faster frame rates for quicker and more accurate servo control, and a lot more settings.

I use the DX3S in my Hyper 7. Great radio, and a pretty good deal. For around $220 you get the transmitter, and two receivers, one of which comes with full telemetry. It will also come in handy in the future, because the DX3S can be used with up to 10 transmitters, and the settings are saved individually for each RC. Its a great investment, especially if you think you will continue with RC for a while.
