I've used the aluminum tape once, the adhesive ate through my silver paint that backed up my candy color. so I will never use that again.
I've found that Nomex tape works the best, and then I apply shoe -goo everywhere else! And shoe -goo only eats the paint if it's 1. uncured, and 2. the paint is too thin!
