I run a ThunderPower 40c 5000 lipo in my evo and don't have clearance problems at all. I stuck lead to the side of the case and towards the middle of the car. Then flipped the center post and now use that as what I push the battery against before taping it in. Looks clean and my car balances like this.
On a unrelated note, does anyone know where I could get a new spur gear holder #3454583? I have been looking for one and haven't had any luck. Mine has developed a little bit of run out and was hoping to just replace it with a new one. Thanks
