I think it determines how much or how little space you have before your car moves when pulling the trigger on your remote. depending on where its set, you either pull a little and your car goes or you pull a lot and then your car goes.

I used to have mine set at 6, but i have a heavy trigger finger and the car was a little to sensitive... so i inscreased it.
