The Tamiya 26mm tires are not as good as some others out there. For general running around on unprepared surfaces, I like the HPI Pro Compound Belted X-Patterns. About $30 for a set including wheels, they last pretty much forever, there are like a zillion HPI wheel patterns in various offsets (try the 3mm offsets for your TT01), and they have very consistent traction. We used them for our spec tire in Senior Spec last year and everyone liked 'em.
