Hi Guys,

Sorry I was off the forums again for a while (this time 9 days....LOL ).
But we did get in the V2 (version 2) EB Mod JX-21 head buttons last week and sold them all out already. But we do have another batch coming in hopefully this Monday or Tuesday.

Like Joe said the V2 EB Mod JX-21 Head Button has a few changes. The performance difference is the same as the V1 when using 30% nitro and shimmed for 30%. The difference is that the V2 uses a 0.2mm (0.008") aluminum shim instead of the 0.1mm (0.004") copper shim for the standard 30% setup.

When going to higher altitudes (above 3500 ft) or 20% nitro fuel you want to lower the deck height. With the V1 head button you could not do that since you were already running the thinnest shim. The only option for high altitudes was to run 40% nitro fuel. With the V2 head button now guys can lower the deck height using the thinner shim.

For guys that want super long run time, they now have the option to run 20% nitro fuel. Also some folks like 20% fuel since it is cheaper. Just remember that using the lower 20% nitro fuel the engine will make slightly less power than when ran on 30%. The head button modification to the squish band helps improve performance and efficiency so to some it will be a nice trade off (this is where Joe falls).

Due to the inconsistencies with nitro fuel percentages when Mfg's make the fuel (just because the label states 30% doesn't mean it's actually 30%) Ed now recommends using a P4 plug with the head button and 30% fuel. For the folks running 25% nitro fuel you can run the P3 plugs. We suggest if you already have P3 plugs and your engine runs well with your 30% fuel and the EB Mod head button installed then by all means use your plugs. Just be sure to take out the plug and get a good read on it. Any signs of detonation then get some P4 plugs.

The new V2 EB Mod JX-21 head buttons can be easily identified from the old or stock head buttons as Ed has machined two spots into the top of the head button for easy identification.

Best regards,
