the reason for the vent is to have the heat and pressure that get trapped under the bladder to release and create a stable dampening enviroment. The foam is to support the bladder now that you vented it. I woud say try it and report to us that have done the mod are curious about it.I asked about this a long time ago I just asked Billy Fischer and he got me all hooked up with the foams I did the mod and I never looked back.
