I'm from the Kansas City, MO/KS area and we're sorta' building our own SC class by converting the 'last generation' buggies to SC trucks with truggy chassis and Associated cages and bodies. To keep things 'equalized' we only have a couple of rules - # 1 it has to be 'close' dimensionally to the SC8 and you MUST run SC8 wheels and tires. This pretty much limits the abilities of these trucks on the track and keeps them realistic and competivie with each other. PLUS, it keeps the tire costs under control!

I'm going to end up with a 'Factory Team' SC8 as I'm starting with a RC8 buggy and adding all of the 'upgrades' that have been brought out since it's inception. Cost is about the same as a RTR but I wouldn't characteristically use the engine or electronics out of it anyway so I hopefully will be a bit ahead with a VERY cool truck!
