They are real nice trucks, but like said before the electric is probably the most beginner friendly. Problem is if you have a short budget it is much less affordable.

Figure for the nitro you need:
-truck $300-$600
-battery for ez start $10-$25
-glow plugs $3.50-$10.50
-fuel$20-$40 for a gallon $9-18 for quarts
-who knows what elseGlow ignitor $10-$30

for the brushless:
-truck $490-$700
-two matching lipos $60-$130 per lipo x2= $120-$260 for two
-lipo charger$60-$120 for a charger that mite not have a balancer
-Balancer If your charger does not have one built in $30-$80
