The 710 has about the same drive ratios as the 705. It's just that the 710 has less inertia on the rotating parts according to Serpent which could compensate for better acceleration on the 710 than the 710.
I cannot comment on the 710 but for the 705, I do not have any problems on reasonably small technical tracks.
