Just noticed some leaking from my HS needle housing (the brass housing part that screws into the carb body). It is sealed via two aluminium washers from what I can see.
I had to remove it because the needle had clogged up from years without use, and now she is running beautifully, however a little bit of fuel seems to be leaking from where the aluminium washers seal.
Can I replace these (are they available readily?), or should I just hit the threads with some teflon tape to help seal it up?
The engine is a .21 JP Mod, slide carb if it matters, seems like the standard NR carby though.
It is recommended to replace the aluminum rings (shims) whenever the brass high speed housing is removed/repositioned because the rings will conform to the housing once tightened down.
