I went through the same thing. I searched and searched the Internet and found out that you need to setup the radio. I think it's called the VR adjustment. Check your manual.

I love this radio. I just got it early this week and raced with it last night. Do a search you might be able to find it. Otherwise I'll check the manual and post again.
