Calvin, I use nothing but the Putnam products.
Pops, I've never seen any of the Putnam motors do any such thing. My experience came from a motor that wasn't his. I guess I've been a little fortunate in finding a fix for some of the motor hump I've crossed. I don't know where you got your new monster from. Maybe it could be the actual maufacturer that has made some changes, and not the OEM.
As for the brush thing, there is really only a very small group that makes brushes for everyone( 3, I was told). They've all got there own secret recipies. Maybe there's someone out there copying the Putnam look cuz they can't copy the Putnam compound.LOL
All I know is that all the advice that I've gotten from him has worked out. Guess you can say I trust him and beleive in his products.
