I have never heard of that system, but you can upgrade motors. A lot of the time you can get better performance from cars like the TT01 by doing some other simple things first:
1. Make sure you have metal bearings in it. Some TT01 kits come with them, some come with bushings. This is the single most important upgrade.
2. Have good batteries. This cannot be under stated. A good pack will give you huge amounts of power over the standard Tamiya packs.
If you have done that and still want a motor, you need to find out what the motor limit is. For brushless it will say "up to XX winds" or something similar. Get a motor too powerful and the ESC goes up in smoke. So, often the ESC needs to be upgraded before or at the same time as the motor.
