The .28 is a 6 port also. See -

The .28 will have a little more grunt then the .25, but is a little thirstier on the fuel. These are an animal of a motor You won't lack power for any situation.
The head button coming loose is just one of those things. You should periodically go over the motor and check things like head bolts, backplate screws, pinch bolt screws etc, and nip them up if necessary. Just make it part of the routine when you clean your truggy and motor.
Remember to always tighten things like head bolts in a crosswise pattern, for an even torquing down of the surfaces, and don't overtighten.
