YES! I have struggled with this same thing this season also. I have tried several sprayers over the years including a 12v trailer type gizzmo. My favorite sprayer so far is a four gallon backpack type sprayer purchased at Sam's Club for $49.99

I have found that the best way to keep it from clogging is to put straight Simple Green into the sprayer. Then pump some of it into and through the line. Then store the sprayer in such way that the end of the wand (spray nozzle) is setting in straight Simple Green.

Using this method I have not had any problems.
