A Gen 1, whoa that was a long time ago. We are up to Gen 5.5 now, with a Gen 6 to be released sometime this year I believe.
If you get the latest 5.5 motor it has a slightly shorter LSN than the previous models. The short needle works well. If you want to just get a long needle (1.6") and trim it down to 1.42" and round off the end. I am running these in both my motors and can get up to 12 min run times without being seriously leaned out.
