No !Do NOT play with shims at all. you'll either lose power or blow up your engine.
I don't think I would like to spending hours sorting stock buttons vs. Ed's, as my brain would explode. but I could see it, I think. lol!

So just verify I have a .004" shim in there and call it perfect yes?
