bk... ive sent and extensive list (not exhaustive - about 4 different series of motors and about 8 different brands) to fof... maybe it will get around to clubs to add the mythical bl rule...

whatever the case some manufactures are suggesting fdr's of 3 and 4 to one in touring cars... apparently their escs are happy with the 70-80a the motors will draw

maybe we are looking at the wrong numbers when making judgements about bl the k/v number looks good but perhaps the current capacity of the esc is where the real test for a motor... after all you were getting respectable speed out of the novak before the envelope was pushed too far

and perhaps thats the biggest problem with miniaturisation they cant handle the current (and subsequent heat)

hands up all those who seriously believe they could weld with their brushed esc, as that is in essence what a lot of manufacturers claim with their numbers
