Don't cut open that receiver box. Neither the FF or FS are conformally coated units. conformal coatings, if used it should protect the receiver from water or fuel intrusion.

The heating problems came form inside the receiver, voltage regulators! Not to worry about operational temps unless they get above 150 degrees.
