What is a reasonable temp range for the go sport 21 3 port with an 86 pipe.. im not seeking a exact temp just a range where they are commonly happy with.

I know the sts was happy at about the 230 range, just want to know if this is a normal temp motor or one that likes to cook. example the os rg liked 290-310 by design while the novas i have worked with like about 195-210 and the werks engine i owned well i was just happy to see it run at all so i didnt temp it. It that was a rare and very short lived thing (still have it, it is untunable).

These are some of the things that determine engine temp

Fuel
Filter
Surface
Tyres
Body
Clutch
Head
Pipe
Wing angle
Diff oils
Wheel Bearings

and probably more ...

in order to give you a temp we would have to factor in all these perameters and then use some sort of mathematical formula to average an answer for you .

OR

you can run the engine at a good tune and after 30 mins of run time getting decent tank time, temp the engine with a decent temp gun and thats the temp it likes to run at.

Cheers MM

There is no such thing as a " Correct temp " to run at.
