i have seen o.s. and odonells plugs leak around that area ...there was aproblem early on with swapping glowplugs manufacturers and plugs not sealing up in there ....it is possible it is leaking ...you should be able to see it while its running puddling up around the glow plug ....other than that not really sure other than it does get mucked up in there from time to time?
