I think that some of those wanting to go the extra light route may prefer to control where the extra weight is going to go. I think you can run some weights right under the center drive shaft. Can't get more centered than that!

As for the diffs, there are some pics on rc monster that marvin took of them. I'll see if I can take a few pics of the diffs next to something to compare size, maybe my RC8T diff?
The 3S setup I was going to do is a no go for now. the 9000mah 3S would have been too heavy based on what Danny sent me.
