I'd have just took the plug out and turned it over with the starter box to blow out any excess water and then put the plug back in and run it. I have had planes go in a pond before and just started them back up without problems. No, I don't fly that bad. I was trying float flying and the pond was too small to do a smooth landing so sometimes I flipped it.
