I don't think you will tell the difference with the lipo like you do the Nimh. With Nimh, the latest cells will always have the more punch & speed. They also have a very short performance lifespan. That means the guy who can afford the most expensive packs the most often is gonna win. Lipo runs great charge after charge and doesn't require all discharge & equalizing techniques. Just top it off and get back on the track. Very consistent...
Higer capacity lipo will hold it's voltage better throughout the race. But in 540 racing it won't make much difference cause your using such a small amount of the pack. I doubt you could break 700mah in 5 minutes. I guess it depends on the track & available traction...
