Water doesn't hurt any electric motor. Just make sure the water is blown out with some good motor spray and dried well because rust can cause obvious problems. And the break-in like that should be done with distilled water because others can leave residue on the parts. So you can imagine muddy water.

Oil the bearings every few runs and you'll be fine.

The kiddo was running the Slash today in the rain. (And we got a lot here.)
