Another reason to do this isnt only to save rims, ive had plenty of foams go bad in wheels and the tires and rims were still good. I use Acetone, buy a gallon of Acetone, gallon paint can, put your wheels in and leave them alone for a day or so. Open can and tires and rims are ready for some new foams.
