Sure you can. I'm just saying since the internal ratio of the car itself is different, it will require a different pinion and spur combo to get the same final drive ratio.

Cyclone with 18T center pulleys has an internal ratio of 2.1667
Cyclone with 16T center pulleys has an internal ratio of 2.4375

Your final drive ratio which is what most people will use when comparing gear ratios on rubber tires (because the tire diameters are all about the same). The final drive ratio can be calculated with this formula:

(Spur/Pinion) x Internal ratio

So if the internal ratio is a smaller number (like the cyclone TC), it will take fewer teeth on the pinion to get a "taller" ratio because of the lower resulting final drive ratio.

You can almost ALWAYS achieve almost the exact same final drive ratios with either set of pulleys (execpt for the really extreme ends of the allowed ratios). It just takes a different pinion and spur combination.
